Cappy Weiner

Cappy Weiner has been practicing law since 1988. He is a graduate of Kingston High School, The American University and the Drake University Law School.

Cappy started out by working for a large personal injury firm in Newburgh and then an insurance defense Firm in New York City. He moved back to Kingston in the early 90’s and has practiced Criminal and Family Law cases from simple misdemeanors to complicated homicides.
He has successfully litigated child abuse cases in both Family Court and County Court and has worked with some of the country’s leading experts in pediatric head injuries, child abuse and false and unreliable confessions, etc.

His experience in the courtroom and trial law leave him extremely well suited and prepared for Appellate work on appeals for both Criminal and Family Law. He has previously been on the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

He has also served on the Board of Directors of and is a past President of Temple Emanuel in Kingston, New York. He is currently the attorney for the Ulster County Legislature and New York State Wrestling as well as being on the Ethic Committee for USA Wrestling. He has been a wrestling coach for Kingston High School for more than 20 years and New York State Wrestling for six years.

Cappy and his wife Donna live in the Town of Ulster and have two daughters in college.
